3D printed wire made from discarded ink cartridges
According to foreign media reports, a French ink cartridge manufacturer named Armor has realized the conversion of waste plastic cartridges into 3D printed wires.
To reduce the world's waste plastic cartridges, Armor launched the 3D printed wire brand Owa. The company found that 70% of the 360 million print cartridges sold in Western Europe were eventually landfilled or burned. Through the Owa brand line, Armor turns old cartridges into new cartridges or new office supplies. Armor collects recyclable waste cartridges from the company and encourages companies to recycle and reuse waste in the office.
It is reported that Owa printing wire is more flexible and durable than other general 3D printing materials such as PLA and ABS, and can also be made using recycled yogurt boxes. Currently, the 3D printed wire is produced at Armor's Moroccan and La Sevrolier plants and sold in France and Japan, and is planning to enter the rest of the European market.
