Many people use the term "no longevity" as an excuse, and they refuse to exercise with peace of mind. In fact, if you exercise once or twice a week, you can live for a few more years!
The World Health Organization recommends that adults take at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise every week. Moderate exercise includes cycling, brisk walking or gardening, and high-intensity workouts including running. Researchers at the University of Loughborough, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Sydney, Australia, conducted an evaluation of this recommendation. They used an average of 9 years to track and study a number of volunteers over the age of 40.
The results show that people who exercise regularly, that is, those who exercise more than three times a week, have better physical fitness. Compared with those who do not exercise at all, the chances of early exercise are 35% less during the study period; only one or two exercises on weekends. However, those who have achieved the total exercise time, the chance of early death is 30% lower.
In addition, regular exercise can kill people with a 21% lower risk of cancer and a 41% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease. But exercising once or twice a week can also reduce the chance of dying from cancer by 18% and the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease by 40%. Even if the total duration of exercise does not “reachâ€, the “resistance†effect on cancer and cardiovascular disease is not much different.
The report was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Internal Medicine. The British "Daily Mail" quoted researchers on the 10th as saying: "It is better to exercise in leisure time than to move, the frequency is not so important."
