Beijing Daily Newspaper Group Introduces Gaobao Printing Machine

After a meticulous comparison of the market and after dispatching a delegation to Germany for local investigations, the Beijing Daily Newspaper Group turned to Koenig & Bauer AG (Gaobao) and introduced a new printing production line from its company. KBA high-speed newspaper offset press includes three paper roll holders, three tower printing units and a folding machine. The new offset press production line will be put into use for the first time next summer.

KBA's COMET high-speed offset press wins high print quality and productivity

The single-width COMET high-speed newspaper offset presses manufactured by the KBA production facility in Würzburg have been distributed throughout the world. Beijing Daily Press Group mentioned that their preference for COMET high-speed newspaper presses was due to the excellent quality of their equipment and outstanding high production capacity. The Beijing-origin high-speed newspaper offset press line is capable of handling tapes from 635 to 880 mm in width, and is equipped with a drum with a circumference of 1092 mm. The maximum rated output in deposit sheet production is 78,000 copies per hour. In addition, COMET high-speed newspaper offset presses also have fan-shaped deformation compensation, automatic ink supply, and automatic blanket cleaning. The highly automated KF3 jaw-folding machine is fitted with the upper and lower triangles. The printing line will be controlled by three KBA consoles with pre-ink setting software, a RIP interface and a remote maintenance diagnostic device.
