In recent years, the variety of moon cakes has tended to be diversified. In addition to traditional tastes, there have also been fruit fillings, harume bean fillings, egg yolk fillings, and even abalone fillings and shark fin fillings. Together with the mooncake packaging, the more exquisite it is, it greatly stimulates people's desire to buy. However, from the market feedback information, manufacturers in the packaging often have the performance of heavy external light, the outer packaging carved, and the inner packaging is only a plastic tray. Something still better is a regular BOPP/PE compound bag for each moon cake coat, and almost all of it is simply placed directly on the tray. Such consequences often lead to mildew in the storage, transportation, and sales of mooncakes and are inedible. According to statistics, mooncakes discarded each year due to improper packaging amount to several hundred million yuan.

In general, in order to extend the shelf life of moon cakes, people often use the following methods:
1. The deoxidizer is used to add deoxidizer to the moon cake packaging bag, and oxygen is absorbed by the deoxidizer so that the bacteria cannot survive.
2. Inflatable packaging Inflatable packaging is filled with nitrogen, carbon dioxide and other gases in a good gas-barrier packaging bag or container to replace air. Its role is to avoid food oxidative deterioration and inhibit microbial reproduction.
3. High-barrier packaging materials High-barrier packaging materials are defined as those having a thickness of 25 μm or less and a gas permeation rate not exceeding 10 ml/m 2 ·24 hr·a tm. Films that meet this condition include: aluminum foil composite film, vacuum aluminum film, PVDC film, eval film, and silicon film. The former two have higher barrier properties, but due to their lack of transparency, they are rarely used in mooncake packaging.
(1) PVDC coated film refers to a film made after applying high-barrier PVDC latex on some general plastic films such as BOPP, PET, and nylon. This film can be used for color printing, compounding, bag making and other reprocessing. Its oxygen transmission rate is only one percent of BOPP, and its water vapor transmission rate is only about one third of BOPP. Not only that, it can also prevent grease penetration and aroma dissipation. Due to the unique properties of PVDC, its barrier property does not change with the change of temperature and humidity of the environment. For moon cake packaging, it is an ideal high barrier material.
(2) eval membrane eval is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol, and also has good barrier properties against oxygen. However, since vinyl alcohol is apt to absorb water, eval has a greatly reduced gas barrier property in a humid environment, and thus is used more as an inner layer of a composite film.
(3) Silicon-plated film The silicon-plated film is an ultra-high-barrier packaging material developed in recent years. It is produced by vapor-depositing 50-nm-thick silicon dioxide on a film such as PET. The film is colorless and transparent, and it is a barrier material in transparent materials. the best. At present, only a few developed countries can produce this product.
