Borealis Launches High Performance Frozen Food Packaging Film

Borealis, the world's leading provider of innovative plastics solutions, recently launched a new, unique polyolefin material under the brand name BorForm, which is mainly used in the field of food vacuum packaging. This new type of material can provide high-efficiency production and post-processing of products, and can greatly save the materials and expenses required for packaging, thereby achieving high product quality while reducing product costs. At present, this new material has been produced at the packaging manufacturer Tommen Gram.

The FlexFlex product produced by Borealis's BorForm film offers a higher price/performance ratio and can be applied to frozen food packers. At the same time, BorForm also meets EU 2002/72/EC requirements for food safety standards.

BorForm Polyolefin Films provide excellent barrier properties under freezing conditions, and have higher toughness and impact resistance than laminated films and paperboard.

Compared to traditional paper packaging, BorForm film has higher moisture resistance, and even under the conditions of refrigerating for 12 months, there will not be any change in quality.

Compared with laminated films, BorForm films are easily degradable. From an environmental perspective, BorForm films are easier to recycle than laminated films.
