Rapid development of China's manufacturing industry ink usher in the "golden period"

The data shows that in recent years, China's ink manufacturing industry has developed rapidly. In 2010, the total output of ink in the country was 589,900 tons, surpassing Germany and Japan for the first time, ranking second in the world. In 2011, China's ink and similar products manufacturing industry achieved gross industrial output value of more than 30.5 billion yuan, an increase of 17% over the previous year; sales reached more than 30.3 billion yuan, an increase of 18% over the previous year. The industry generally believes that China's ink industry is in a golden period of development.

According to experts' analysis, the rapid growth of the ink industry has two major causes: First, the development of the printing market in China directly drives the ink manufacturing industry into a period of rapid development opportunities; second, the world's famous ink manufacturers since the 1980s At the end, it began to invest capital and technology in China, establish a production base and expand its product market, which has undergone a revolution in the structure of China's ink industry. The product structure has been adjusted and innovated, and the capacity of ink has been increased.

It is understood that the world's ink production companies such as Sun Chemicals, Toyo Ink, Flint Ink, and Tung Wah Ink have all established ink production plants in China, while the domestic ink companies Shanghai Peony and Coswood (8.900, -0.10,- 1.11%) Ink, Zhejiang New Oriental inks, and emerging companies like Bright Ink are also growing at a rate of 10% per year.

In the past decade or so, the quality and quantity of China's ink products have undergone tremendous changes, but China is still a developing country. The per capita consumption of printed materials is still very low, only 5% of the per capita consumption of developed countries. The usage is also very low. In the next 5 to 10 years, China's national economy will continue to develop at a relatively high speed, and the great development of ink is also obvious.

In the short term, it is still impossible to completely separate printing from traditional processes. Some experts pointed out that traditional inks have at least 30 years of development in China, Germany, and Japan. In the next 30 years, the main development direction of the world ink is water-based ink, UV ink, vegetable oil ink and so on. Water-based inks are environmentally friendly, low-toxic, non-flammable, and cost less than solvent inks. They are the darlings of the future market. UV inks are mainly used in the cigarette packet decorative printing industry. They have the characteristics of fast drying speed, excellent color and gloss, and good fixing power. However, they are costly and have certain toxicity, and are not suitable for long-term operation of printing workers. However, with the innovation of ink technology, waterborne UV inks have appeared in the market and the environmental protection of the original UV inks has been improved. At present, China's UV inks have a gap of 10 to 15 years compared with Germany and Japan, and they need to catch up.

Vegetable oil series inks are now in research and development all over the world. The ink contains vegetable oil components such as linseed oil, soybean oil, etc., which can replace petroleum components. For example, Suzhou Boolete Ink Co., Ltd. introduced a pure vegetable oil-based ink in 2011. Tianjin Toyo Ink Co., Ltd. has just launched a series of 100% vegetable oil ink products in April. It does not contain any petroleum solvent series and will not generate VOCs. Buoyant.

At present, the main subject of China's ink is to adapt to the development of digital technology. Judging from the drupa International Printing Exhibition held in May 2012, the future printing is undoubtedly based on digital printing. The digital printing has reduced the plate making and other links, but it still can not be separated from the ink. The printing ink is mainly based on ink jet and water based inks. The digital printing industry is a rising industry that has just emerged. Many products are not yet mature. For example, water-based inks have poor adhesion on printed paper products and are not sufficiently bright. Because of this, China and the developed countries are basically on the same starting line, and the development space is relatively large.

The industry believes that in the next few years, the development of the ink industry in China, in addition to increasing the product, should pay attention to adjust the product structure, increase production concentration, increase research and development efforts, improve the scientific and technological content, product quality, product stability, so that Adapted to the needs of today's multi-color, high-speed, fast-drying, non-polluting and low-consumption modern printing.
