Japan has developed a mirror ink that can be decorated on cardboard

Japan Seiko Ink Co., Ltd. has recently developed a mirror ink that can be beautifully mounted on paper and cardboard. The ink is printed on the back of transparent plastics (treated polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, rigid polyvinyl chloride), and the mirror-like effect can be seen from the front of the substrate. The ink is a metallic type ink.

Mirror ink uses special aluminum powder and resin and mixes them together. It is an evaporation-drying ink. Natural drying at 20°C requires 20 to 30 minutes to obtain a stable mirror effect. Ideally, forced drying is used. At 80°C, it takes 10 to 15 minutes. At 60°C, it takes 15 to 20 minutes. It is best to choose 270~300 mesh screen. Each kilogram of ink can print 30m2. In general, mirror inks do not use thinners. In addition to the mirror ink can be printed on the above mentioned substrates, but also in the acrylic, polyvinyl chloride material above.
