Innovative analysis method of complex system of traditional Chinese medicine by Institute of Applied Chemistry

The Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences completed the project "Methodology and Material Basic Research of Complex System of Traditional Chinese Medicine Based on Mass Spectrometry". At the same time, the project published 115 academic papers in the research process, of which 87 were included in SCI; 8 invention patents were applied for.

With the support of major basic research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Development Program, researchers from the Changchun Yinghua Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have fully utilized the advantages of mass spectrometry technology in the research of traditional Chinese medicine, focusing on the methodology of complex systems And the material basis has carried out systematic research work, and made breakthroughs in a series of key technical research.

Researchers have studied the relationship between ion internal energy and mass spectrometry, which has laid the foundation for the study of the chemical substance basis of the complex system of traditional Chinese medicine. It is understood that this study can be successfully applied to the analysis of oligosaccharides, saponins, flavonoids; established a mass spectrometric analysis method of geometric isomers of certain Chinese medicine chemical components. The researchers also used a variety of mass spectrometry and their combined technologies to establish a comprehensive analysis method for the study of complex systems of traditional Chinese medicine, which greatly simplifies the separation and analysis process, thus changing the current predicament that multiple components are difficult to simultaneously identify structures .

It is understood that the researchers also used the established comprehensive analysis method of the complex system of traditional Chinese medicine to carry out the material basic research on the processing compatibility of toxic traditional Chinese medicine. The mechanism of hydrolysis, pyrolysis and lipid exchange reaction of aconitum toxic traditional Chinese medicines during processing and compatibility is proposed, and three mechanisms of aconite compatibility and detoxification are revealed. The scientific connotation and material basis of toxic traditional Chinese medicine compatibility , Biological experiments proved that monoester alkaloids and lipid alkaloids are not only much less toxic than diester alkaloids, but also have good pharmacological activity.

According to another introduction, the expert group of the Changchun Yinghua Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences also chose to synthesize biological target molecules related to viruses and tumors based on the characteristics of antiviral and antitumor drugs, and used clinically effective Chinese medicine as research objects. Mass spectrometry has the characteristics of high sensitivity, high selectivity and stoichiometry to screen its active ingredients, and established an in vitro method for screening antiviral and antitumor active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine based on soft ionization mass spectrometry. This provides new ideas and methods for high-throughput screening of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine.
