Russia developed a new type of nano sensor for food detection

A few days ago, Russia ’s Lipetsk University of Technology invented a new type of nanosensor. The sensor can measure the amount of antibiotic residue in food within minutes.

This new sensor is small in size and is a special quartz slice with gold nanoparticles, which has physical characteristics similar to magnets for iron absorption. The nano sensor can attract certain types of antibiotic molecules for nano weighing, and its principle is equivalent to a nano scale. Researchers at Lipetsk University of Technology use it to monitor antibiotic residues in milk, cheese, meat, vegetables, and seafood. Compared with traditional food monitoring methods, this method can be obtained in just a few minutes. As a result, it is very fast.

Researchers at Lipetsk University of Technology are studying the use of it to monitor the residues of biological hormones and toxic substances in food. After the experiment, this sensor will be commercialized and put on the market. Its appearance further improves the efficiency of food inspection and guarantees food safety.
