About the procedures to go to the climbing adventure in Qinghai

In order to make it easier for mountaineering enthusiasts at home and abroad to apply for various mountaineering procedures in Laos as soon as possible and to successfully implement the mountaineering plan, the climbers should go to the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province to handle the following procedures:

First, the application report for mountaineering:
Foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan mountaineering groups applying for climbing adventures, alpine skiing, alpine gliding, source exploration, river rafting and other activities in Qinghai should submit formal written application reports to the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province and report to Qinghai Provincial Sports Transportation Committee for approval. The application report may be in the form of fax, letters, e-mails, etc., or it may be filled in by the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province. Domestic mountaineering groups may not report to the Qinghai Sports Committee. The main contents of the application report should include: climbing the mountain peak name, climbing route, entering and leaving the Qinghai site, the name of the mountaineering team, the number of mountaineering teams, the time of mountaineering and other activities in Qinghai, the weight of the materials, and the services provided by the Qinghai Mountaineering Association. After the application report of the mountaineering group was examined and approved, the mountaineering association of Qinghai Province issued a mountaineering permit to the mountaineering team.

Second, pay the mountaineering registration fee:
When a mountaineering application is approved, the foreign mountaineering team should pay a mountaineering registration fee within three months. After the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province received the registration fee, the team was officially included in the reception plan. If the applicant fails to pay the registration fee for the overdue period, the approved application will be automatically invalidated; if the original application fails, the request for the climber can be resumed. Where the registration fee has been paid and the climber is cancelled due to the reason of the team itself, the registration fee paid is not refundable and cannot be transferred. The domestic mountaineering team paid the mountaineering registration fee 2 days before entering the mountains.

Third, the budget and payment schedule:
After the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province receives the registration fee of the foreign mountaineering team, it will make a budget for the mountaineering group according to the application project and schedule of the mountaineering group. After the budget of both parties is confirmed, the total budget shall be remitted one month before entering Qinghai. Enter the account of the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province. After the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province receives the budget amount, it will handle the various procedures for entering Qinghai as soon as possible for mountaineering groups. Funding for domestic mountaineering teams is set by the organizers.

Fourth, foreign mountaineering teams apply for visa matters:
All foreign mountaineering groups that come to climb in Qinghai are required to apply for a visa to enter China’s borders by foreign embassies (consulates) in China. Foreign mountaineering groups must have the following conditions when applying for a visa:
1. All the approval procedures for climbing activities have been completed;
2. All budgets will be transferred to the account of the Qinghai Mountaineering Association;
3. The visa program is complete, such as the player's name, gender, nationality, date of birth, passport number, occupation, and visa location.

V. Other procedures related to mountaineering:
Where a foreign mountaineering group is involved in scientific investigations, mapping, collection of animal and plant specimens, samples, fossils, and tests of a certain project during mountaineering, an application report must be submitted in advance and the above work can be carried out after approval.

The consumption of special foods, emergency medicines, and clothing for cold weather, etc. brought by foreign mountaineering teams can be used for declaration of customs entry, communications, video, surveying and mapping equipment and other special materials that require entry into China, and apply to the Mountaineering Association of Qinghai Province in advance ( The application shall indicate the name, brand, model, power, and purpose of the product. It shall be approved for use by the Chinese authorities before being used.

VI. Booking a climbing team:
A foreign mountaineering team that requires mountaineering in Qinghai Province may reserve a mountain in advance for a year or a few years. When booking a mountain peak, it is first necessary to pay a mountain registration fee and a partial deposit.
