General situation of the market of water-based adhesives for composite flexible packaging

According to statistics, China's food composite flexible packaging bags require 50,000 tons of adhesive annually, of which solvent-based polyurethane adhesives account for more than 90%, and solvent-free and water-based adhesives less than 10%. At present, the development of foreign waterborne adhesives is very rapid. The proportion of waterborne adhesives in the US market is about 60%, Japan accounts for 50%, and Europe accounts for 40%. The domestic high-end market is dominated by foreign water-based adhesives, of which the largest share is Rohm and Haas.
