The spectrum originated in the 17th century. In 1666, the physicist Newton conducted the first experiment of light dispersion. He introduced a beam of sunlight in the dark room and let it pass through the prism. On the self-screen behind the prism, he saw seven colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple scattered in different positions- A rainbow is formed. This phenomenon is called spectroscopy. This experiment is the origin of the spectrum. Since Newton, it has not attracted people's attention. By 1802, British chemist Wollaston discovered that the solar spectrum was not a perfect rainbow, but was split by some black lines.
