Misfit Vapor joins the Android Wear camp and is expected to capture the banner of value
Today, Android Wear accounts for almost half of the smartwatch market, but in so many manufacturers really work hard on design, made the watch look good, one hand count. Now, finally, a company known for its high face value is joining the camp. Yes, this company is Misfit. Recently they announced that they will replace the free operating system of Misfit Vapor, the new smart watch launched at the beginning of the year, with the original, custom OS, and more mainstream Android Wear 2.0. This is definitely good news for YC.
According to the previous introduction, the Misfit Vapor is equipped with a round 1.39-inch AMOLED display, with a 44mm metal case, supporting 50 meters waterproof. In terms of configuration, Vapor has a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor, built-in GPS and electro-optical heart rate meter, 4GB of storage space, which can play music independently, or connect to a mobile phone via WiFi for more functions. Misfit also designed a new way of operation for Vapor – the main interface can be interactively operated via a touch border.
With Android Wear 2.0, Misfit Vapor will have greater freedom in application ecology, dial selection, fitness software, etc., and its newly added scrolling interactive effects will complement this watch's touch frame, using Misfit. In other words, "it can be easily operated without disturbing the display content."
This product should be available this summer. The exact time has not yet been announced. However, the price of US$199 (approx. RMB1,370) looks very competitive. With the addition of AndroidWear's new system, its appeal should change. It's bigger~
